The Maasai Women and Children Initiative
The Maasai Women and Children Initiative (MWACI) is dedicated to improving the lives of Maasai women and Children in the Monduli District and Arusha Region, Tanzania. In response to the devastating impact of the longest drought in the country’s history, MWACI has identified a pressing issue, the vulnerability of Maasai women, who lack control over crucial resources such as land and cattle. The drought has left them with limited or no income, resulting in lack of better services, malnutrition among their children.
Our core objectives are to provide educational opportunities to Maasai children and support women’s economic empowerment initiatives. In our quest to make a lasting impact, we rely on the dedication and passion to support this sustainable project
